Long time no blog…
I haven’t blogged in a while because I’ve been kind of lazy and there hasn’t been much to blog about. Two weeks ago, the kids were writing midterms so I didn’t have any classes, and last week the 2nd years at my visiting school were away on a school trip so they cancelled my classes.
Last Saturday (the 20th) after karate I met up with a few of the other ALTs at the Kawagoe festival. I think this was about my 3rd or 4th festival so it wasn’t anything new. I went mainly for the company of other foreigners. I still took a few pictures to prove I was there.

The only other thing worth mentioning is that I had a lot of bike trouble this past week. Two Thursdays ago, I noticed that the tire was flat and wouldn’t stay inflated when I pumped it. I took it to school and one of the teachers found the hole (using water in a bucket) and patched it for me. It looked like it worked, and I rode home at the end of the day. The next morning, my tire was flat again, so I walked my bike to school again. This time I told them I could patch it myself if they gave me the equipment. One of my English teachers offered to help/watch because he’s never done it before. We found the small hole and patched it, but when we did the bucket test again, it seemed like more air was coming out than before. In the end, the teacher than helped me the first time helped me to change the air tube and put in one from another tire. It worked from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, when I was riding to the grocery store. All of a sudden my tire went flat as I was riding. So on Monday I ended up getting my bike swapped at school, for an older and rustier bike. But it seems to be working.

Not officially… Some of the stores seem to decorate for Halloween tho, and I’ve seen some people dressed up for parties and things.
